Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I have been enjoying the festivities with family and friends! I hope you all had a super Christmas and New Year!

Here are some pictures of what I got up to over Christmas and New Year...

Took my sister and friend to 'Mambo Beach Club' on Sentosa. Great music playing and an awesome view! Find out more about Mambo's here:

We tried to balance out the eating and drinking with getting up and doing 10k walks around Singapore.

Unexpected Visit To Ubud

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I never got around to blogging about our unexpected visit to Ubud so here it is...

We had planned a trip to Bali for our friends birthday, as you may know I LOVE Bali check out my previous blog:

I Love Bali

We decided to extend our trip and head to Lombok for a few days just me and my husband. Unfortunately one of the volcanoes had erupted causing flights to be cancelled in and out of Bali. So me and my husband thought what do we do now? Then we were looking and friends had suggested Ubud. So we did some research and found 'Padma Ubud', at the time they were doing a soft opening as they hadn't officially opened.

We were in Seminyak, so were picked up from there, it took about an hour to get there. We drove through so many little villages and plus there was a parade going on with lots of people dressed up and singing in the road. Lots of rice paddies...

Then we arrived!

This hotel was surrounded by lush green tress and rice paddies <3 amazing!

My favourite restaurant we went to in 'Ubud' was 'Blanco Par Mandif' it is very unassuming from the outside but once inside it's so cool! What I love is that you sit at the bar and can see into the kitchen. It was 9 courses with wine and cocktail pairings. I have been to places where they do food and wine pairings but not cocktails too, insane! Plus me and my husband had the same set menu but his was presented differently which was amazing as we tried a dish two different ways.

The staff were so lovely and very informative about what we were eating and drinking. At the end of our dinner we were presented with our menu and it had our name on it. Such a nice touch. Check it out here:

We found a cool little coffee shop in Ubud called 'Seniman' they served cashew milk,  I tried a iced mocha with cashew milk, it was yummy.

You can sit inside or out on the little wooden deck and watch the world go buy. Plus they have a shop opposite where you can purchased coffee, coffee makers etc! Take a look here:

Looking out onto green from their infinity pool each day was bliss...

The hotel is now complete and officially open find out more here:

Looking To Escape Singapore For A Long Weekend?

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Where to go?

Here are few destinations close to Singapore that are perfect for a long weekend away:

Krabi

Flight Time: Singapore to Krabi 2 Hours Direct

We stayed at 'Beyond Resort Krabi' and were very impressed!

When you arrive at the hotel you look out on to their amazing pool and the sea:

Stunning!

The infinity pool is such an amazing feature of this hotel. They have little jacuzzi areas in it as well. Bliss!

Just across the road from the hotel is a small restaurant called 'Bai Tong'. Thai cuisine, the food is excellent here!

Recommendation: Pineapple Rice and Masaman Curry

One other restaurant recommendation is 'Lae Lay Grill' great food great atmosphere! Get there in time for sunset...

If you want an activity day, head to 'Ao Nang' and book a speedboat tour around the islands. It really is beautiful!

Saya suka bali (I Love Bali)

Bali <3

I have amazing memories from Bali and I have been fortunate enough to have travelled there twice.

The first time my husband was sent to Singapore for 6 weeks, at first I wasn't best pleased but then he suggested tagging on a holiday at the end of it of which I straight away agreed!

I flew out and met him and we stayed in the Marina Bay Sands Hotel for a night (I will be posting blogs on Singapore) which was amazing then he whisked me off to Bali <3.

This was our bedroom view <3 <3 <3! We were in Paradise! We stayed at 'The Legian' which is in Seminyak. Absolute luxury!

The pool is never ending, facing the blue indian ocean you will never want to get out! The most relaxing view!

For us we didn't leave the hotel that much. Probably due to the fact that he got down on one knee and put a ring on it :)!!!!!

Best day ever! I am happy to say we are now happily married and living in Singapore! (more on this another time)

When we did leave the hotel we went to three amazing places:

No1 'Ku De Ta'

We had a few cocktails (the night he proposed hehe) here, they sure know how to make a cocktail! It had such a cool vibe, dj playing outside next to the bar and it is set right on the beach too! I will speak more about this place on my second visit to Bali.

Within walking distance from 'The Legian'

No2 'Potato Head Beach Club'

I had so much fun that I forgot to take any pictures!
It has three restaurants, two bars and an amazing infinity pool! Have a go at getting through the cocktail menu :)

Just in a taxi from 'The Legian' will only take 5-10 minutes

Take a peek here-- Potato Head

No3 'MamaSan'

This is a retro vintage restaurant and also has a cooking school and bar. The food is sooo good!
If you go in a group I would recommend ordering a number of dishes and sharing as you will want to try as much on the menu as possible!

Reccomendation: Masaman Curry

Book a taxi and be on your way!
