Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I have been enjoying the festivities with family and friends! I hope you all had a super Christmas and New Year!

Here are some pictures of what I got up to over Christmas and New Year...

Took my sister and friend to 'Mambo Beach Club' on Sentosa. Great music playing and an awesome view! Find out more about Mambo's here:

We tried to balance out the eating and drinking with getting up and doing 10k walks around Singapore.

Trekking with Tripcendo

For anyone that missed my last blog regarding my collaboration with 'Tripcendo' check it out here...

Collab with Tripcendo

I had arranged with 'Tripcendo' to be taken on a tour around Singapore. The chosen trip was a Trek at 'HortPark & The Southern Ridges', the great thing about these trips is you have a host with you. For me being an expat and living in Singapore it was great to experience a part of Singapore I didn't know about but to also make new friends. My host was called Kristie she was such a lovely girl easy to talk to :).

So off we went...

From the word go we were getting our sweat on with a climb up some steps, but the view was so worth it...

We had to get a selfie :)

Henderson Waves was amazing this wooden bridge offers views both sides of Singapore you stand there and hardly believe you are in Singapore it is so green and pretty.

Collaboration with Tripcendo

I am excited to announce that I am going to be working alongside 'Tripcendo'. They are a community driven travel experience platform, that connects travellers with local hosts from around the world, providing an on demand bucket list of local experiences. I will be helping them promote their services and also sharing my experiences from my journey here so far in Singapore.

It makes sense to me as I love Singapore, and I want to connect with as many people as I can to ensure they have the best experience possible. The tours will cover everything from local culture, attractions and lifestyle.

Firstly I am going to be toured by one of their lovely Hosts. This is happening this coming Sunday, which I am really looking forward to and will try and do some Insta stories along the way. I will be blogging about this experience so keep your eyes peeled!

I will be offering a discount code that you can use to get money off your attraction or activity via their website.

Use My Code: KATIE4TRIPCENDO

Where To Beach In Singapore...

Beach Club Fun

Since being in Singapore I have found two amazing beach clubs to spend a sunny day. They are both at 'Sentosa'.

Firstly 'Tanjong Beach Club'

Me and my Sister loving life!

As you can see it's pretty awesome! Bet you wouldn't of guessed this was in Singapore!

You can book day beds by the pool or on the beach. In the week there is no minimum spend. On the weekends you have to spend $200 per bed, the beds are big enough for two people. One of the great things about 'Tanjong Beach Club' is it has an infinity pool, which you can see in the above picture. It is perfect to cool off in! The food and drinks are so good too.

Recommendation: Sri Lankan Chicken and Frozen Daiquiri

It really is such a lovely setting to spend the afternoon!

They also have a cool little pop up shop that sells sunglasses, bags, hats and games.

Recommendation: Book a bed before hand

Top 10 Things I Love About Singapore

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Weather

The weather in Singapore pretty much stays at around 30 degrees all year round. The humidity can be very strong. But Singapore has a lot of walk ways that are shaded so you do not have to walk in the strong heat all the time. Everywhere is air conditioned inside so that helps massively.

Food

You can find any cuisine you want here in Singapore! So many different options to choose from. One of my favourites and cheaper option is 'Satay Street' this is at the back of the famous Hawker Market 'Lau Pa Sat'.
The road is closed off in the evening and bbq stalls are set up and plastic tables and chairs are put out on the road. It opens from 7pm. You can order pretty much everything from inside 'Lau Pa Sat' but you must try the Satay. You can order chicken, beef, pork and prawn. It comes with satay sauce, onion and cucumber. It's such a good atmosphere!

All this for $28!

Recommendation: Order the pineapple rice

Preparation: You will sweat as it's all outside and you are near to the bbq but it is so worth it.

Les Bouchon

Currently located in 'Club Street'.

You have the choice of alfresco dining but if you can't stand the heat, head on inside to the air con.

If you like steak and unlimited chips this is your place!

Recommendation: Order the Sirloin Steak

If you still have room after this, the Creme Brûlée is the one, beware it's big!

Red Dot Brewhouse

One of the famous local dishes in Singapore is 'Chilli Crab'. Me and spice don't always see eye to eye! But here you can ask for it to be 'not too spicy' and from speaking to other expats, this restaurant seems to be one of the best places to experience it. As you can see from the picture its huge and you get loads of sauce which is yummy.

Here we are rocking our bibs which they give you and tools to crack the crab, be prepared to work for your dinner. But trust me it is worth it :)

Recommendation: Order the Seafood Rice to go with it

Lucha Loco

This place is awesome! It is in Duxton Hill(such a cool area), Mexican food at it's best and amazing Cocktails! Cool decor with outside garden seating options too.

Recommendation: Jug of Frozen Daiquiri

They have another branch called 'Super Loco' which is also amazing and on the river in Robertson Quay.

Where to go?

Here are few destinations close to Singapore that are perfect for a long weekend away:

Krabi

Flight Time: Singapore to Krabi 2 Hours Direct

We stayed at 'Beyond Resort Krabi' and were very impressed!

When you arrive at the hotel you look out on to their amazing pool and the sea:

Stunning!

The infinity pool is such an amazing feature of this hotel. They have little jacuzzi areas in it as well. Bliss!

Just across the road from the hotel is a small restaurant called 'Bai Tong'. Thai cuisine, the food is excellent here!

Recommendation: Pineapple Rice and Masaman Curry

One other restaurant recommendation is 'Lae Lay Grill' great food great atmosphere! Get there in time for sunset...

If you want an activity day, head to 'Ao Nang' and book a speedboat tour around the islands. It really is beautiful!
